Can money alone make the world a better place?
Can inspired people + organisations + companies x (money + a global plan of action) make our planet a better place?
The fundamental idea behind our system and its policy is a bald one:
In the following overview we have tried to simplify the structure and main characteristics of this system. Also, we have chosen to present it in a fully developed form to give you a better idea of its potential (based on a 12 year development plan):
Dedicated project development tools will enable any organisation, company and civil group to set up a project of their own. The only rule will be that each project must be structured upon clear and measurable objectives – in space, time and effect (e.g. Vaccinate 124 children in Kiev against Hepatitis A @ 4.27€ per vaccine and at a total project cost of 896€)
To do this in a speedy and effective way we have designed a state of the art application called a Project File. Its open structure will include a step-by-step setup wizard and all sorts of add-ons called Project Tools (e.g. Translation – Accountancy – Mapping – Crowd Sourcing, etc)
Here is an illustration of a project cycle, how it will be developed, supported and interconnected with every other project in the system (called Live Programme Management System or LPMS):

This unique system will help project managers maximise the effect of their action and save both time and money:

When we reach a certain level of activity we will start setting up Programmes. Each Programmes will address a particular subject e.g. The Sustainable Food Programme or the Architectural Preservation Programme, etc.
A Programme, depending on its nature, will have up to three layers ranging from local to global:

This system will be fully scalable and will adapt to all types of environments. It will be entirely free of use, non-commercial (funded by the rest of AbP Live), and its applications will not have the basic html design / poor usability features of common .org websites (to reduce the cost of bandwidth) – at the contrary! (we aim to bring Cognitive Information Visualisation to a whole new level)
After developing the core system, our main objective will be to join leading figures such as Hans Rosling and Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the Web) in their attempts to get governments and non-governmental organisations to release the billions of Terabits of data they keep in closed databases around the world. Once processed and adapted to our semantic algorithms, this data will let us create a fairly accurate model of our planet’s current and past condition in various domains. We will then be able to better identify what areas need to be worked on, what policies work best and set clear targets for each Programme.
The end goal being to - one step at a time - make our planet the place it should be for all:
